Christmas wreath making workshop

Come and spend a day in the greenhouse and potting shed at Lima Gardens, creating a fabulous Christmas wreath. Sip morning coffee by the cosy woodstove as Jenny, the head gardener, talks you through the day’s plan.
All materials are provided, gathered sustainably from the estate woodland.
You will be shown how to moss your hazel wreath base and then how to attach a beautiful selection of interesting foliage and seed heads. Your finished wreath will be totally unique and you will leave having mastered how to transfer your new skill into making swags and Christmas garlands for your home.
Lose yourself for a day surrounded by history, and switch off from the hustle of Christmas preparations. Bring friends and enjoy mulled wine and mince pies around the fire.
Groups are limited to 8 so there is plenty of time for individual tuition.
Come alone or with a group of friends/colleagues and enjoy a day as a festive outing.
Felted Christmas decorations

Join me (Jenny) and Wild Heart Wool for this morning workshop here at Lima Gardens. With guidance and support, you will create your very own decorations to use for years to come. Homemade cake and tea are included in this festive morning, along with entry into Lima Gardens, where I will take you for a tour and share my knowledge as Head Gardener.
Flower gathering and arranging workshop

This afternoon workshop is designed as a fun and creative way to explore the garden.
We will gather flowers and foliage from the formal garden and the woodland. Jenny, our head gardener will talk you through the techniques of conditioning and arranging your blooms into something stunning to take home.
In this session we will be making a hand tied bouquet.
Tea, coffee and homemade cake included.
This year we will also be selling flowers by the bucket, for you to take away and arrange at home. Ideal if you have an event or wedding. Please telephone Jenny on 07811353393 to discuss your requirements.
We will be running a number of seasonal specialist days in the Garden.
Join us to get together with others to learn, share your experiences and get creative.
