Christmas Wreath Making Days

Come and join us at Lima Gardens this December on one of our Christmas wreath making days, and enjoy a truly special festive experience in the working heart of the historic Foelas Estate.

What to Expect

Your day begins with a warm welcome coffee and homemade chocolate brownie around the cosy potting shed wood fire. Jenny, Head Gardener at Lima Gardens, will be your tutor and will take you step-by-step through each stage of making your wreath.

All of the materials—from the hand-woven hazel base to the moss and foliage you will be using—are gathered directly from the estate woodland or foraged locally. We take great care in supplying you with a rich variety of unusual and interesting greenery, decorative bits, and pieces. These unique elements all contribute to making your finished wreath one-of-a-kind and truly beautiful. We have found over the years that this thoughtful approach is what makes a day with us at Lima Gardens so wonderfully different to other workshops.

Set in a historic and deeply atmospheric location, we will be working inside our warm greenhouse with stunning views out over the gardens and the River Conwy. Throughout the day, we will retreat into the potting shed with its cosy wood fire for warm drinks and treats.

What’s Included

  • All Natural Materials: Hand-woven hazel base, moss, unusual evergreen foliage, interesting cones, seed heads, dried flowers, and wild berries.

  • Expert Tuition: Jenny will be on hand through the whole session to help and guide you. This is why we strictly limit group sizes to 8 people.

  • Festive Refreshments: Welcome coffee and chocolate brownie, tea, mulled wine, and mince pies. (Please advise of any dietary requirements upon booking. Please bring your own lunch).
