CHRISTMAS WREATH MAKING

DURING ThESE creative half day workshopS YOU WILL learn how to create a fabulous natural door wreath for Christmas.

There are 8 places per day, why not gather a group of friends together for a creative Christmas afternoon?

Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th December

Our head gardener will take you through the techniques stage by stage. From mossing a woven hazel base to adding the finishing flourish!

All materials will be provided. We will have a selection of foliage gathered from the gardens and surrounding woodlands. You are also welcome to bring any of your own special bits you might like to include to personalise your wreath. Such as interesting seed heads, cones , ribbons, and feathers.

The day will begin at 11am with a cup of tea by the potting shed woodstove. Followed by a talk through the materials and techniques. With a short demonstration. Jenny will then be on hand to help you create your masterpiece!

There will be a break for lunch and time to wander in these beautiful historic gardens and woodlands.

We aim to finish at about 4pm with a glass of mulled wine and a homemade mince pie.

What to bring:

Wear warm, old clothes and warm boots (the green house can be chilly in December!)

A waterproof coat (and hat)

Gardening gloves

Secateurs

Packed lunch

(Please be aware should you want to go to the bottom of the garden, that this is an historic, terraced garden with many steps that can be slippery at this time of year)
